The overnight flight between Sydney and Hong Kong was operated by the 777-300ER, which is the backbone of Cathay’s long haul fleet, in a three class configuration (Business, Premium Economy and Economy). Cathay Pacific 77w Business Class
Cathay Pacific last week filed new schedule for Hong Kong – New York JFK route for summer 2020 season. Reported last week on Airlineroute, the oneWorld member will discontinue Vancouver – New York JFK sector from 27MAR20. Existing 1-stop CX888/865 will be replaced by new CX842/843 nonstop service, on board Boeing 777-300ER.
Also highlighted last week, CX846/845 will be operating 4 weekly instead of 7, which sees overall service reduced from 28 to 25 weekly. In last week’s schedule update, CX846/845 will be operated by A350-900XWB instead of 777-300ER.
